My Scripture memorization theme continues to be on guarding my mouth. I plan to stay with theme until I have control over my mouth. I could be on this theme for a long time.
Here is my memory verse for the week:
He who guards his mouth and his tongue keeps himself from calamity. Proverbs 21:23
I'm memorizing Jeremiah 29:11 this time around. It's one of those verses I more or less have the gist of but haven't committed word for word to memory and I want the chapter and verse down pat too.
I love this scripture. It's so easy not to take guarding the mouth seriously enough. I pray that the Lord will help me keep a watch over my lips. Thank you for sharing this verse. Blessings.
Cindy, Thank you for this scripture. God is teaching me to be on guard! I have let my lips get in the way sometimes and I always regret the words that slipped out. God bless you, Bren
I live in the beautiful mountains of North Georgia. I am married to Robert, the love of my life. He makes life interesting and he makes me laugh. We are learning to love this new phase of our lives: the empty nest. Life is good.

Awesome Scripture!!!
Guarding our mouths take serious work and surrender daily, moment by moment to the leading of the Holy Spirit.
When I pray for the words I speak I also pray for my heart attitude to be right with the Word of God because we speak as it flows from our heart.
Thanks for this precious reminder to guard our mouths. Bless you.
